Another week has gone by and things are moving along on this #freshspacefebruary blog hop! Thank you again Tiffany over at My Eclectic Nest for making this otherwise unexciting month so fresh!!;)
Above I have a quick recap of my mini kitchen refresh. One last quick look at my current kitchen status!
We plan to paint the base of the island with Velvet Finishes "Luxurious" black paint. They graciously sent us the prep cleaner, paint and protect formula so that the paint will wear well over the years!
I love the description of this paint color! Magnificent and extravagant- Yes, please! Velvet Finishes paint covers unlike any other paint we've used in our vast amount of DIY projects. Side note- I'm hoping to convince the husband to let me paint the laminate backsplash white- not sure that's a wise plan but I want to try! If you've painted your backsplash let me know! I'm curious to hear how it holds up!
I'll also be adding a faux roman shade that I'll be making from fabric by the yard in "thread bare" by SmithHönig. I love this fun fabric- a take on a thread bare rug! It's the perfect pop that works with my festive wallpaper!
Last on the list is creating a table runner from the SmithHönig "thread bare" fabric, creating a spring table top decor and throwing in festive pillows. I'll be using this SmithHönig pillow - I chose the outdoor material so that it would be safe from inevitable spills. Oh, and I have my eye on this SmithHönig runner;)
There is so much to do that we are extending the Reveal to the first week of March! It's been a crazy month with lots of last minute refreshes and I can't wait to show you them all!! Stay tuned.....
